A mirror that
remembers.

Talk about your life, out loud. Its voice, the Daimon, listens for the rules you are already living by, and keeps the evidence.

Touch the orb

You are already playing a game,

by rules you never chose.

Demiurge makes them visible.

You decide which to rewrite.

01 Talk

Speak.
Don’t type.

Typing makes you careful. Nothing interrupts. When you stop, the Daimon gives back what it heard, in your words, then asks one question.

…he called again Sunday. Anyway. Work’s been insane, which is fine, I like it busy. My brother thinks I’m avoiding him, which, honestly —

Can I say something you might not like? Every time your brother comes up, you’re somewhere else within a sentence. Can we stay there a minute?

You’ve changed the subject every time your brother came up. Three times now. What are we not talking about?

Your brother again. And you’re gone again. What’s there?

Same observation, three deliveries. The stance changes how it is said, never whether.

02 The Shape

Four territories.
One life.

A whole life fits in four parts. Over a week or two of talking, the Daimon learns where you stand in each, and draws it.

Mind

How you think. What holds your attention, what you believe, what you feed your head.

I live in my head.

Body

How you live in it. Sleep, food, movement, the energy you wake up with.

I’ll sleep when it ships.

Work

What you make. Craft, money, the thing you would do anyway.

I don’t have time.

People

Who you are with. Family, love, friends, the ones you keep and the ones you avoid.

Lena keeps asking about Saturday.

Three rings

Each territory is played at a level. Inside, by a script you were handed. In the middle, by rules that are your own. Outside, as a game you invented.

Your shape

Join the four and you see your life as it stands: wide in mind and work, thin in body and people. It moves as you do. The old shape stays as a ghost. No grades, no numbers.

03 The Undercode

The Undercode: the rule behind your choices

Your Undercode · v1 · read on 14 Nov

You only let yourself rest once the work is done. The work is never done. So you never rest.

The rule under your choices, built only from your own words. Shown only when it explains you better than any other reading, and can say what would prove it wrong.

04 The Spiral

One problem
at a time.

If you want one, a single practice for the problem it found: when the cue comes, what you do; when the obstacle comes, what you do instead. It runs until the rule loosens.

Turn 1 · Body ↔ Work

Your body is paying for your calendar.

  1. CueWhen it’s 18:00,
  2. ResponseI close the laptop and walk home without headphones.
  3. ObstacleIf a “quick thing” comes up,
  4. Answerit goes on paper for tomorrow.

05 The Portrait

It remembers.
You can check its work.

Every line cites the moment you said it. Correct it, or erase it. The whole Portrait fits on two pages, and nothing it guessed is stored as fact.

06 Colour

The only score
is colour.

This page has been keeping it. Every chapter you read, it came back a little.

Stay away, and the colour fades toward what you built. Never below it.

It never nags. Speak, and it floods back.

What it is not

The point is
to need it less.

As you change, it gets quieter: fewer questions, longer gaps, no reasons invented to open it.
